If you are upgrading from version 1.x then the upgrade includes some of the new graphics from the Master Player's Edition, and brings the program up to the same version. To obtain the full upgrade to the Master Player's Edition, including all of the new graphics, extra battles and Strategy Guide, you will need to purchase an update CD from Empire Interactive.

Version 2.0.3, 15th February 1997

• Stopped the game freezing up due to a bug when units were waiting for trains.
• Fixed bug where dead units may still be on trains, boats.
• Added messages explaining the results of Naval Bombardments
• Fixed bug, which caused regiments that were nearly dead to merge with regiments of a different type.
• Prevented fortifications and railhead capacities from being upgraded past past their maximum.
